A Restoration and addition to please.

Walker QS Consultants were approached by our client the owner of a wedding and conference venue. The client had a fire break out at their venue destroying the place.

Walker QS Consultants were brought during the second stage of the Alterations/Extension and remedial works to fulfil the client’s needs.  The project started with a site mobilization and a set up to mark out the areas we would be working in.

Next came the demolition with scaffolds put in place to assist with the next stages of the build. With the site demoed the wall frames were erected to support the new and existing non damaged roof.

The roofing was split in sections with the old roof being removed and replace and then the new roof install by Wellington lightweight roofing. This to avoid exposure to the elements of the uncertain wellington weather.  Skylights were installed to create natural light and a sense of a more open bigger space. The exterior cladding followed need with the window joinery supplied by Evolution windows.

The interior followed soon after, with the linings and trims going in first. The gibing and gib stopping came next in the process, with the interior decorating phase following suit.

With the interior decorating under way by our trades team, the exterior works were completed and the making good process of the garden began with pavers and plinths put in place.

With a completed project ready to get a final approval from the council, our Client can reopen just in time for summer to host weddings at a beautiful venue.
